SPECIMEN: Citrated Plasma Collect whole Blood in 3.2 % Sod. citrate (blue top vacutainer): Store sample along with cool pack and transport to pathkind within 4 hours of collection. For out- station samples : 1. Prepare platelet poor plasma (PPP) within 1 hour of collection. Centrifuge citrated Blood at 35rpm for 15 minutes. Separate plasma into a plain screw capped vial. Platelet count should be less than 10,000. 2. Freeze and ship with dry ice.
